This is a fantastic idea. You get two different Bicycle cards that are specially treated so when a UV light is shined on them fingerprints appear on the backs and a fingerprint appears on the face.

The basic effect is of having a card 'selected' and lost in the deck by the spectator.

You then explain that you can easily find the selected card using magic but it is much more interesting if you use science. Explain that using forensic tools as seen on the CSI TV shows you will find the card.

You spread the deck on the table face down and shine a special miniature UV light on all the cards looking for fingerprints. As you go over the cards a shiny bright fingerprint appears on one card. To prove it is the selected card you turn it face up and show its identity and that it also has a fingerprint on the face. Everything is examinable before, after and during the routine.
