This was one of the goto coin routines Sol Stone performed when doing formal shows or when he had access to a clear glass plate. The quick routine can also be performed on a glass top table.

It is an impossible routine that can be performed as a stand-alone piece or as part of a longer coin set.

The basic routine involves two coins. A Kennedy Half Dollar, a copper English Penny and a see-through glass plate.

Your friend holds the glass plate between their hands as you balance the two coins on your fingertips. You place your hand with the coins under the plate so all can be seen. In an instant one of the coins penetrates the plate so there is only one coin under the plate while the other is sitting on top of the plate.

Comes complete with a perfect sized glass plate, an expertly made set of gaffed coins, matching regular coins, and access to an online video tutorial by Sol Stone, Sean-Dylan Riedweg, and Meir Yedid. A Meir Yedid Magic product.

Let’s dive into a coin effect crafted by Sol Stone and produced by Meir Yedid Magic. This delightful effect begins with a copper coin and a silver coin carefully balanced on the fingertips of your left hand. In your right hand, you hold a transparent glass plate. The spectator is asked to hold the plate with both hands, serving as the perfect performance surface. With both coins pressed against the bottom of the plate and momentarily hidden by your right hand, you create a sense of suspense. As you lift your right hand, the copper coin seems to magically pass through the glass plate, leaving only the silver coin in sight! After the reveal, both coins can be examined. “Cointemplate” is a charming routine that Sol Stone often performs in formal settings and during strolling magic, especially when he has access to a transparent glass plate. When the opportunity arises, he executes this on a glass tabletop. It’s quick and straightforward impact makes it an excellent standalone piece or a delightful addition to a more extensive coin routine. However, performing it in isolation might not showcase its full potential, as it can benefit from being paired with additional routines to enhance its overall value. The price seems fair, considering the included gimmicks, but it may feel somewhat underwhelming when evaluated independently.

With “Cointemplate,” you’ll receive a unique gimmick resembling a magnetic “Scotch and Soda” set, a Kennedy half dollar, a copper English penny, and that transparent glass plate. Plus, there’s an online video tutorial featuring Sol Stone, Sean-Dylan Riedweg, and Meir Yedid. They share their variations on Sol’s effect and minor tweaks to his single-phase effect. However, seeing more phases and insights into this intriguing effect would have been great for its cost. I recommend “Cointemplate” for its custom coin gimmick and the transparent glass plate, but the overall effect may feel a touch brief for the price. If you’re excited about coin-through-table effects, I might encourage you to explore other routines with more phases. Recommended.
