The full title, subtitle, and description of the book is: “Kreskin's Fun Way To Mind Expansion. The world's foremost mentalist tells the reader how to condition your mind and body and sensitize yourself to accomplish many of the feats that Kreskin demonstrates.”
This is a very interesting book because Kreskin teaches some mentalism routines and explains how to perform them. He explains that all his shows include magic and gives great advice on how to perform mentalism both intimately and formally.
The ad copy from the back of the book explains:
Here, for the first time, Kreskin personally guides you in expanding your mind while baffling your friends by duplicating effects that have helped make him world-famous:
• Hear whispers in a crowded room.
• Predict news stories weeks in advance.
• Read thoughts in the minds of complete strangers.
• Control others' attitudes and actions.
• Concentrate more intensely than you ever thought possible.
• Render the strongest person helpless.
• Produce "hypnotic" effects without "hypnosis."
• Become a human lie detector.
• Locate lost objects for your friends.
• Discover the truth about "extrasensory" perception and use your ordinary senses to accomplish telepathy, clairvoyance, and similar phenomena.
First Edition. Written by Kreskin and Bret Saxon. Published by Doubleday & Co. Inc. in 1984. 172-pages, 6”x9” hardcover with dustjacket. Every book has a bookplate, initialed by Meir Yedid, that states, “Purchased from the personal inventory of The Amazing Kreskin.” An out-of-print collectible.
FREE KRESKIN COLLECTIBLE:
With every purchase of this book you will get a collectible postcard of The Amazing Kreskin. This is an original black and white postcard that he sent to his fans in the 1970s (?). It is a very early picture with a printed signature. The back of the card says, “KRESKIN, Internationally Known Mentalist, STAR OF “The Amazing World of Kreskin." The overall size is around 4.5” x 6.5”. This came from Kreskin's personal archives and might be worth more than the book.
