Envisioned by Meir Yedid and created by Tom Crecelius.
The Lota Bowl has been around for more than a hundred years. It has been released by many different magic companies and even as a toy in magic sets for children. However, there have been very few that do not look like magic props.
Tom Crecelius, besides being a magician, is also an excellent craftsman who made these beautiful handmade Lota Sake Sets after several years of thought and discussions with Meir Yedid.
They are made of stoneware clay that is fired to 2,300 degrees. It takes more than eight weeks before each one is finished. Tom also used lead-free glaze which allows you to actually drink the contents without worrying about your health (although we do not recommend liquid that can spoil or contains sugar).
The basic effect is of a seemingly endless amount of liquid being poured out of the Mug. It can be emptied multiple times and each time more liquid appears inside.
The basic set contains one Sake bottle and two matching Sake cups.
These are all handmade and will vary slightly in size, shape, and coloring. The overall size of the bottle is around 4" high, and 3.5” side, with a 1.5"-2" diameter opening. The cups are around 1.75” high and the opening is between 2”-2.5” wide. On average you should be able to get 4-5 good pours. Very limited edition and quantity.
NOTE: Since these are all hand-made, no two are exactly the same, and all contain some natural imperfections just like the artisan made pottery and ceramics found around the world.
BONUS: As soon as you make your purchase a pdf with basic Lota instructions will appear in your media library.
