The Zarrow Shuffle is the ultimate false riffle shuffle. Now Herb Zarrow explains the details and secret techniques that make the Zarrow Shuffle undetectable. No matter how many riffle shuffles you give the deck, you maintain complete control of all the cards. The Zarrow Shuffle is the most deceptive false shuffle ever created and one of the few sleights that was instantly adopted not only by top card workers but also by professional card sharpers.
Persi Diaconis in his introduction to Dai Vernon’s Revelations wrote: Zarrow’s shuffle may very well be the single most important practical card move invented since Erdnase.
This is the first time that Herb Zarrow, the inventor of the shuffle, has revealed these handlings, variations and presentations using the shuffle. Most of the material on this video has never been available before, including many fine points and applications that have been held back for more than 40 years. Learn from the only authorized video on the subject taught by Herb Zarrow, the man who invented it all.
Shuffle techniques taught: The original Complete Deck Control with Riffle Shuffle, speed, cover, resistance, angles, cutting sequences, get-readies, jog usage, double hand movement, red/black Zarrow Shuffle sequences, three card cover sequences, one and two shuffle sequences, Cut Simulation, Locking The Top Card, Two-Shuffle Control, Pre-Cut Double-Shuffle, Two-Shuffles and Cut, Skimming Using The Z, Double Cover, Double-Double Shuffle, Red/Black Cull and much more.
This video is more than just an instructional video. It is personal tutorial that walks you through what is possible and feeds you all the information you need to be able to customize the Zarrow Shuffle, so it fits your style, rhythm and skill level. It is a great opportunity to master the technique and add a valuable weapon to your arsenal of secret sleights.
Routines and applications taught:
►Four Ace Shuffle Control: A gambling demonstration where the four aces are convincingly shuffled into the deck with multiple shuffles but end up on top at the end.
►Surprise Stack: A demonstration of card control where a four of a kind is controlled for a card game. Herb also tips his culling subtlety.
►Quad Triumph: Any four of a kind is named and lost into four different positions in the deck. The deck is then shuffled face up and face down. Upon spreading the deck all the cards are seen to be facing down except for the four named cards that are now face up in the middle of the deck.
►Cull Stack: A system of simultaneously culling and stacking cards is explained. This has been a closely guarded secret.
►Attraction: Five named cards are removed from the deck and placed in a row. Five Poker hand are dealt beneath them. The top cards of each of the Poker hands are turned over to show the mates of the five named cards. Herb tips some more culling subtleties and how to maintain the center of the deck during a shuffle.
►Red Black Cull and Zarrow Control: Two cards are named and removed from a shuffled deck. They are then lost back in the deck and after a couple of shuffles the deck is spread face up to show that the top 26 cards are red while the bottom 26 are black. The two named cards are the only ones found in the opposite halves.
►Four Packet Red Black: The deck is cut into four packets and the four packets are shuffled with each other. When the deck is spread face up all the cards are shown separated into reds and blacks. The routine is done to illustrate some simple red/black shuffles that can be done with a Zarrow.
►Three Phase Poker Routine: After shuffling the deck you deal five hands of Poker. One or two spectators can select random hands to see what they got… which will be very weak hands. After reassembling the deck, you give it some more shuffles and cuts and deal five more hands. The spectator picks any hand and it now contains a Royal Flush. The other three hands are also shown to have Royal Flushes and then you turn over your hand to show five of a kind… because duces are wild. The cards are reassembled and given a bunch of in the hands shuffles and five more Poker hands are dealt. This time the spectator’s hands each contain a four of a kind while you hold the four aces.
The reason for the inclusion of the above routines is that each one demonstrates and teaches additional techniques, applications and ideas that can be applied to many effects.
