This is a very scarce set of Dan Garrett lecture notes that only teaches four routines. All four of the routines are ones he uses when doing walk-around. I will let him describe their strengths:

►Is Worth Two In The Hand: “This is my own sponge ball routine which I use for an ice breaker or opening effect for strolling magic. However, it is also suitable to perform at any time. You will often get requests to repeat this one "for a friend" …especially at a cocktail party or hospitality suite.”

►The Ultimate Card Revelation: “A book could be written on this effect. To do it properly requires literally years of practice and fine-tuning. It combines psychology and timing to the highest degree to create the most devastating effect I know on an individual using an ordinary pack of playing cards. I've got to be crazy to reveal the innermost secrets of my most cherished effect. This is the one which gets me the work. If I could do just one trick as a magician, and no other, this would be the one!”

►The Brainwave Connection: “This is my routine with a Brainwave deck, which is a standard magic dealer item. It is a trick rough-and-smooth deck which can reveal any of the 52 playing cards as the only face up card in a face down deck, as well as the only card having a back of a different color from the rest.”

►Beer Bottle Piggy Bank: “There have been many presentations of the classic "Coin In the Bottle" …the grand-daddy of all effects with a gaffed coin. Even if you have your own routine set in stone, there may still be an idea in my handling and presentation which you can use in your own. In this version the hands are seen clearly empty at two key points of the effect. (The extra coin is hidden in a couple of unusual ways).”
