Escapist Coin (Meir Yedid)
You get two strong coin routines for casual situations, that are very easy to learn, and are examinable at the end.
Show two coins and a broken rubber band. The coins are an American penny and a dime that have small holes pierced through them. Thread the penny and dime on the rubber band and have a spectator hold the two ends of the band so the coins are trapped in the center.
You then pull on the coins and let them snap back, so they spin and bounce on the band. When they stop spinning only the penny is on the rubber band and the dime is found in your hand. It was seemingly plucked off the rubber band in a magical and impossible manner. Everything is examinable at the end.
Includes additional props for a second routine where a dime is sandwiched between two pennies on a coffee stirrer and impossibly disintegrates between them. Happens in the spectator’s hands and everything is examinable at the end.
The coins have been manufactured specifically for these routines and have been modified to make everything happen cleanly and easily. The routines are based on the work of T. Nelson Downs and Carl Brema.

This version of the classic “Penny and Dime” trick involves the incorporation of small holes in the center of the coins. Two effects are taught. In one, the penny and dime are threaded onto a length of elastic, the ends of the elastic held by the spectator.
Despite these impossible conditions, the spectator chooses a coin and it is made to penetrate off the band. A second effect involves two pennies, a dime, a coffee stirrer, and a cup. In this lovely, baffling effect the three holed coins are threaded onto the stirrer, and the stirrer propped across the mouth of the cup.
Even though the dime is surrounded by the pennies it is caused to vanish and appear under the coffee cup. This is the sort of easy to do close-up “pocket” magic you can carry with you wherever you go. It takes up almost zero space yet delivers a couple of confounding impossibilities.
Considerations: Everything can be examined at the trick’s conclusion.

This is an awesome trick. Anyone that knows the mechanics of Scotch and Soda will hate that they never thought of this. There are two suggested ways to perform this trick, but you'll get many other creative methods accomplish. I love this trick. You'll finish clean and examinable.
